Career Expo

NYACH Ready for Healthcare

Resources for employers, educators, and students participating in a healthcare-oriented career expo

What is a Career Expo?

A Career Expo brings together professionals from different healthcare industry roles and organizations, exposing students to a wide range of possibilities and fostering curiosity and career exploration.

Career Expos can take different forms, but the NYACH Ready for Healthcare Career Expo structure features a series of speakers and panels during which visiting employers and professionals describe their roles, career paths, and thoughts on the future of the industry.

The Ready for Healthcare Career Expo Activity Toolkit covers:

  • the purpose of a Career Expo

  • Career Expo logistics

  • pre-event research and preparation for students and educators

  • student best practices for asking questions and notetaking

  • guiding questions for employer panelists

  • reflection and evaluation
